    Peanut-Filled Devil’s Food Cupcakes

    These cupcakes are amazingly moist and soft! The filling tastes just like a Reese’s Cup! If you are a peanut butter and chocolate combo freak, these cupcakes are the perfect solution to ease your cravings! The recipe calls for a ganache frosting but I was in a hurry when I made these, so I just frosted them with regular chocolate frosting and they were still super-awesome! Happy baking…happy eating!     How Much Is A Homemaker Worth?

    It seems like every year just after the new year has started someone comes up with the same article entitled “How Much Is a Homemaker Worth?” I find these articles particularly amusing because they barely scratch the surface of what we moms do.  Usually, these articles are written by men…this year I believe it was written by a woman…Porcshe Moran.  All of the usual job titles are covered of course: private chef, house cleaner, child care, driver, laundry service, lawn care…blah, blah, blah. What I want to know is why, if they’re going to insist on doing these articles, they don’t include ALL of our job titles?  Here’s the list…

    Cupcakes Anyone?

    Ok, so I’m trying to come up with something dessert-ish for the kid’s lunches the other day and I thought about making cupcakes! The only problem with cupcakes in lunches is if you put the frosting on the top it will be a horrible mess by the time they get to lunch…not to mention the fact that there is practically no way to wrap a cupcake to even put it in a lunchbox in the first place. (Note to self, Self…invent a cupcake box similar to the neat sandwich ones they have at Wal-Mart!) Well, until I get to inventing the cupcake box I will simply do what I did…
